Day 16: 40 Day Abundance Meditations--God says yes!

My inner supply instantly and constantly takes on form and experience according to my needs and desires, and as the Principle of Supply in action, it is impossible for me to have any needs or unfulfilled desires.*

I like my spiritual growth exercises like I like my food, too much.  Why else would I layer 40 Day Abundance Meditations with 7 days of Fear to Faith affirmations and yesterday top it off with a generous helping of "Emmett Fox's 7 day mental diet" where I abstain from negative thinking for 7 days?  So for those of you playing the home version, I'm on day 26 abundance meditations, day 16 blogging, day eight 7 days Fear to Faith (good thing I checked, I can stop), Day 2 Mental Diet.

I needed the Mental Diet because of the principle expressed in today's abundance meditation.  If my inner supply instantly and constantly shapes itself according to my needs and desires, I need to be very careful what my needs and desires are.  Yesterday, on an ostensibly wonderful day trip to Uruguay, I got out of sorts.  The hourlong "Catamaran ferry" across the hundreds of miles wide "river" resulted in a headache, wooziness and a general crab fest for yours truly.  I did not, in that condition, approve of the decision of the rest of the 9-member family touring party to walk into the quaint historic town of Colonia de la Sacramento.  I wanted to get a diet coke and go lie on la playa (even though it was not particularly a beach day).

As I found myself snapping at my wonderful kind accommodating sister-in-law and storming off to the beach by myself, I drew a breath, pulled myself together and considered what my inner supply was responding to.  You see, Spirit, the principle of abundance always says "yes."  It said yes to going to Uruguay.  It said yes to seasickness (because I have a belief that I get seasick on ferries).  and it was about to non-judgmentally say yes to storming off by myself.  I needed to think, was this what I wanted?

First thing was to get a diet coke, then sit, then think.  I prayed and saw to open my Kindle app to Emmet Fox's reading for the day--the start of the 7 day mental diet--perfect! I love diets.  I have gained and lost hundreds of pounds on almost every diet you can imagine.  This is the same only now i'm abstaining from negative thinking, not carbohydrates.  I used some tricks I know and turned from a thought that I was being forced to go into an historic town.  I sat in the historic town's picturesque square while they climbed lighthouses and things.  And then I went to the beach.  It was great!

*If you are just joining our show in progress, meditate on this for 15 minutes today.  You can start the meditations any day, don't worry about the day it says it is, but then do it for 40 days.  At any time you can look ahead or behind and see how it works by going to this link:  How to do the 40 day Meditation Program
